Here at Asha, we take pride in producing tantalising food using the highest quality produce that has travelled the least amount of miles. It is our mission to build distinctive food that customers love and know is authentic and local.
We have a passion for Classic and Contemporary Indian Cuisine. Our Chefs have over 40 years of experience. We use a range of authentic cooking techniques paired with an array of spices to create a quintessentially Indian dish.
The family legacy started back in the late 1970s when Khaled Miah worked at a restaurant in West Kensington where he established a passion for cooking Indian Cuisine. In 1980, he moved to start working in Cirencester and did so for 40 years.
After 5 years of working for his Uncle, Foyez Rahman took over the restaurant. In 2020, when the restaurant decided to close its door, Foyez was determined not to see the legacy end; thus Asha was created.
'Asha' means ‘Hope’ and ‘Prospect’ which reflects the family legacy Foyez feels so passionate about. It is also representative of the new collaboration between Asha and the Relish Group.
Partnering with hospitality neighbours The Relish Group was an obvious choice, knowing they too are a long-established and highly regarded catering business with similar ethos and passions. The two businesses naturally complemented each other.
In January 2021, we are delighted to open doors to customers. We launch with a pop-up Takeaway located at Somewhere Else in Castle Street - an already well-established venue which is part of the Relish Group.
Offering over 40 dishes across meat, fish and vegetable options with over 25 side options, our contemporary Indian menu will be a favourite for many.
Asha India Kitchen is a branch to a bigger tree with the collaboration offering Wedding and other catering services in the near future. Asha is a moving brand, so although in Cirencester today it could be near you tomorrow.
